Delayed diagnosis of cervical cancer malpractice

Delayed diagnosis of cervical cancer malpractice
Cervical cancer in women has brought many problems due to the delay in the diagnosis and due to the missing on time Pap smear test. The Pap smear test is mainly concentrated on the recognition of the cervical cancer in a person. When this Pap smear test is done the lab technicians should identify for the existence of the abnormal cells that causes cervical cancer. When the lab technicians miss out to verify the damaged cells then it will lead to a big problem for the patient.

Usually the Pap smear test identifies whether there is any tumor or any early stage of symptoms seen during the test. If a patient’s Pap smear test is misread then again the patient has to undergo a test called Colposcopy which is helpful in identifying the cervix and other main areas that is affected by cancer. If any patient has doubt that their Pap test is misread due by the medical professional negligence then immediately they can contact any other centres for a Colposcopy to retest whether their cervix area is affected by cancer.
The main problem in the delay of the diagnosis of the cervical cancer is the misreading of the Pap smear test results. This is all because of failure to obtain the proper sample from the patient and also due to the misreading of the slides. There are many cases which has faced these two problems. Because of the cervical tests, breast specimens and due to system error also leads in wrong treatment and diagnosis.
